Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee works on raising money for ACT UP in large ways (like direct mail campaigns) and small ways (like selling merchandise at meetings and actions).Â
Members of the Fundraising Committee should meet up before the meeting starts to set up the table for selling ACT UP merchandise at the meeting. They can get the merchandise and the cash box from the Administrator, Jason Heffner. Buttons are $20 each, t-shirts are $40 each. Cash only. The members of the Fundraising Committee should run the merchandise table throughout the meeting (while still participating in the meeting). The merchandise and the cash box should be returned to the Administrator after the meeting. During the meeting, when people break up into groups to discuss plans for Target City Hall, the Fundraising Committee should coordinate among themselves all of the logistics for selling ACT UP merchandise at the action (Where to set up tables? Who will staff the tables when (taking into account any actions that people will participate in)? Who will bring bring the merchandise? How much merchandise is needed?)
