Outreach Committee

The Outreach Committee is in charge of increasing membership and attendance at actions. They also try to welcome and orient new members at Monday night meetings. Much of their work involves wheatpasting posters around the city.

The Outreach Committee should be on the look-out for people at the meeting who don't seem to know other people. They should go up to those people, ask them if they are new to ACT UP (and welcome them if they are), and ask them if they'd like to be part of an affinity group for Target City Hall. If they say yes, the Outreach Committee should help connect them to other people who want to form an affinity group.

When groups split up to discuss what they will be doing during Target City Hall, the Outreach Committee should discuss how they'll recruit people who attend the action to come to Monday night meetings and become active in ACT UP (since most of the people demonstrating at Target City Hall will not be regular ACT UPers).
