Mike Spiegel

Background: Mike is a 42 year old white man. He took a leave of absence from Harvard to be the national secretary of Students for a Democratic Society. He eventually became a lawyer.

Specific tasks at the March 13, 1989 meeting: Mike is on the agenda to ask people to come speak with him at the side of the room (right now, not at the end of the meeting) if they (or someone they know) have health insurance that is refusing to pay for AZT, Bactrim, or any other AIDS medications, or if they get prescription cards for discounts on this medication. He is gathering information for a potential lawsuit against insurance companies that are not covering AIDS medications.

He is also on the agenda later to announce a meeting to organize gay and lesbian workers for partner rights.
