Delta Queens

Delta Queens is an ACT UP affinity group (a sub-group of 5-20 people that demonstrate together at actions), so named because it started as a group who traveled to protest at the Republican National Convention in New Orleans in summer 1988. 

Members should gather together in the half hour before the start of the meeting to discuss their plans for Target City Hall. Specifically, each affinity group needs to decide what kind of demonstration or civil disobedience they will do, and designate a representative to convey to the main organizers of Target City Hall some of the details. The organizers don't need to know the exact specifics of the demonstration, but will need some details to coordinate support, press attention, and timing (so every group doesn't do their demonstrations at the same time).  For some ideas, this page has links to videos of some of the demonstrations/civil disobedience that were done at Seize Control of the FDA, the previous major ACT UP action.
